Editions FAQ

What is a limited edition?
This is a series of artworks that are produced in limited quantities, meaning once the set number of works are gone, they are gone.

What is an open edition?
These are a series of works that have no limit on the number produced. They will be available to purchase in unlimited numbers up until they are removed from sale.

Why collect editions?
Editions are an awesome way to collect an artist’s work without the high price tags of original artworks.

What is Giclée printing?
Giclée printing is a type of exhibition and museum quality inkjet print. Giclée printing produces images at a higher quality and with a longer lifespan than a standard desktop inkjet printer.

Are they signed?
Limited editions made directly by the artist are signed, open editions are not. Giclée prints are typically sent direct from our printers, so limited edition Giclée prints will not be signed but will come with a certificate of authentication.

Are they framed?
Editions are typically not framed to allow collectors the flexibility to frame the works to match their own tastes.

Do works come will certificate of authentication?
Limited editions will come with a certificate of authentication but open editions will not.
